Sensei Hyakuten Inamoto is a Japanese Buddhist monk of the Jōdo-shū (浄土宗) or Pure Land School (sect) and an international Reiki teacher from Kyoto, Japan. He studied Reiki with Sensei Chiyoko Yamaguchi, a student of Sensei Chujiro Hayashi. Hayashi Sensei was a student of Mikao Usui Sensei , the founder of Reiki Ryoho (霊気療法) . After learning from Yamaguchi Sensei and then doing much individual research into the original teachings of Usui Sensei, Hyakuten Sensei created Komyo Reiki Kai in 1998, at the end of 2016 the name was changed to Komyo ReikiDo and began holding classes.
Usui Sensei said that with spiritual improvement, the body would naturally be better capable of healing itself: “Firstly, the mind must be healed, and secondly the body must be made sound. If the mind is healthy, conforming to a path of integrity, then the body becomes sturdy of its own accord”.
That is why he called his art of healing Usui Reiki Ryoho to IMPROVE MIND AND BODY.
Created by Sensei Inamoto Komyo ReikiDo follows the traditional teachings of Usui Sensei and focuses most importantly on the spiritual component of Reiki Ryoho — healing the mind first, and physical component — healing the body through everyday Reiki Ryoho practice (which is a twofold practice that has therapeutic and spiritual aspects), implementation of Reiki Principles, leading us to the ultimate objective of Usui Reiki Ryoho — Satori (悟) or Enlightenment (individual understanding of the one’s true nature).
Komyo ReikiDo practice is a gateway to this spiritual awakening, as well as to «Anshin Ritsumei» 安心立 命 or absolute inner peace).
«Reiki Ryoho is not just about the art of healing, it is about the art — a way of spiritual awakening, growth and development.» Inamoto Sensei
Komyo ReikiDo also emphasizes Do (道) — realization of life as an endless PATH of spiritual training and development where our whole life is the PLACE for spiritual cultivation, the PLACE of Path or the place where spiritual PATHS are practiced; the place of spiritual training — our Dojo (道場) . Usual things we do regularly in our daily life, whatever that happens to us, everything is meant for our spiritual discipline and is, of course, of our own making.
Sensei Inamoto is internationally known as an authority (expert) on traditional Japanese Reiki, he has been an invaluable consultant and translator for many authors — Western Reiki Masters including:
Sensei Inamoto lives near Mt. Kurama in the ancient city of Kyoto and gratefully guides a great amount of Reiki Practitioners from all over the world to Reiki’s Birthplace. He travels extensively to teach Reiki Ryoho worldwide.
He is fluent in English and is noted for his gentle manner and sense of humor.

“When there’s THIS,
then THAT comes to be;
with the arising of THIS,
When there isn’t THIS,
THAT doesn’t come to be;
with the cessation of THIS,
